What`s
it like to drive: "A cracking little sports car.
Dubbed the Japanese Lotus Elise by many, compliments
don`t come any higher and it is true. I could get technical
and expound on the merits on polar moments of inertia
benefits that accrue from a mid engine layout but the
bottom line is that the optimum sports car layout remains
mid engined/rear wheel drive and it is this more than
anything which makes the MR2 such a beautiful compact
car to drive. Pin sharp steering, flick switch gear
change and a great 1.8 Vvti engine deliver in spades.
Top down on a winding country road it really does take
some beating".
